Product Description

It is a cement based, acrylic modified, two component, full elastic waterproofing coating mortar. Liquid component is a pure elastomeric resin emulsion. Powder component is a hydraulic binder mixture of additive and filling materials.

Usage Areas

It is used for providing a positive (interior) insulation barrier in potable water tanks, pools, and cisterns made up of brick, raw cement, or plaster. It is used as an undercoat, or a top coat in the insulation of terrace roofs.It is used for the positive insulation of grounds, retaining walls, and pitch walls, against ground moisture and water leakage. It is used for the insulation of basements from exterior. It is used for providing a waterproof barrier in balconies, and plant stands. It is used for preventing water leakage between floors, and in wet surfaces such as bathrooms, kitchens, toilets, etc. It is used for coating drainage channels, and seawater and sewage chambers. It is used for the insulation of galleries, and drainage, and water grooves. It is used in bridges, viaducts, and engineering structures as a protective coating to provide resistance against defrosting salts. It is used for the adherence of coating materials such as ceramic, granite, marble, etc.

Surface Preparation

The surface to be treated must be clean, solid, and entirely free from any grease, rust, dirt and cement residue. Big pores and cracks must be filled with a proper REPAMERK or PH 127 for corner prior to application. The surface must be moisturized and it must be kept moistured during application. After the application of the first coat the parts prone to cracking such as pointed tips and horizontal/vertical intersections must be bevelled and rounded, and a second coat of CHIMEX 127 must be applied onto this bevel by using joint tape.


10 kgs of liquid component is poured into a clean container. The powder component is added and dissolved. The solution is mixed to a thick consistency acquiring a homogenous composition. (approximately 3 minutes with low a speed mixer.) Powder component must be added to liquid component. The mixture must be consumed in 45-60 minutes. CHIMEX 127 is applied in at least two coats using a brush, roller or trowel.Each coat should be applied before the previous coat dries and solidifies. If necessary, the surface should be slightly moisturized prior to the application of the next coat. Each coat must be applied at right angle to the direction of the application.Between the application of two coats, bearing elements such as alkali resistant joint tape, mortar mesh, etc. should be used on cracks or at horizontal/vertical connections. After the application of the last coat the surface is levelled by using a soft, moistured sponge. CHIMEX 127 should be applied with caution onto perlite concrete, gas concrete, or any concrete with high porosity; it should be applied onto these surfaces only after the application of grout or plaster.

Cleaning Of The Tools

The equipment can be cleaned with water immediately after use. When the material dries hard on the equipment, it can be cleaned by mechanical methods.

Storage and Shelf Life

Powder component must be kept in a cool and dry place, and on pallet. Liquid component must be protected from freeze. 12 months minimum in original packaging when kept in a cool and dry place.
