Liquid waterproofing admixture for stucco and screeds used for exterior facings. ADD1 is an aqueous solution containing complex collodial silicates. In the presence of water these swell and block the capillaries and pores in the applied sand/cement renders, screeds and mortar to provide an effective barrier against the transmission of liquid water.
Used for waterproofing in terraces, roofs, exterior walls exposed to open air, and hidden streams. Structural waterproof renders and screeds to resist water pressure below ground. Internal waterproof tanking. Generalwaterproofing admixture for mortar
- Color : Light yellow
- Consistency : Liquid
- Density : 1,03 kg/dm3
- Application Temperature : +5°C to +35°C
- Setting Time : Does not have any impact on the normal loading time.
- Highly economical.
- Lime can be added to mortar preparation.
- Can be applied against live water infiltration.
- Can be used internally and externally.
- Suitable for contact with potable water.
- Does not loose its properties in case of freeze, and can be normally used after thawing.
ADD 1 is mixed with water thoroughly (the amount of water = 17 x the weight of the product). Dry cement batch is to be mixed with this mixture to the consistency required. Avoid adding ADD 1 to ready mixed mortar. To avoid cracks on stucco and screeds, normal wetting application is required during loading.
General Waterproofing Admixture
The addition of ADD 1 to all types of mortar will increase the resistance to water damage due to frost and efflorescence. Dilution: 1:10 with the gauging water.
Cleaning Of The Tools
The equipment can be cleaned with water immediately after use.
150 g ADD 1 is used for 1 m2 stucco with 1 cm thickness.
For example: 30 kg ADD 1 is used for 100 m2 stucco with 2 cm thickness.
As a general waterproofing admixture: 1.5 kg for 50 kg of cement
All above values are approximate.
